Great Pyrenees
Ok now that you have spent time money and effort to buy just the right breeding Boers or maybe that cute little pet goat, how do you protect them from coyote’s, bears, wolves, people (with bad intentions) or even just the neighborhood stray dogs. Good fencing is a great start, but not the answer to a determined predator. LGD’s, livestock guard dogs fill the role of herd protector wonderfully. And of the several breeds of LGD’s available we believe that the Great Pyrenees are a perfect fit. Great Pyrenees are known for their maternal nature and calm temperaments. Due to the breeds maternal nature they will bond to your goats and become quite protective of the herd. All of our Great Pyrenees are AKC registered and purebreds ready to work. Our pups are born in the fields and are raised alongside their parents while still working the herd. While most puppies will go on to other farms to work with their own herds some of our puppies go to family homes as very affectionate pets. All our puppies will be vaccinated and Vet checked prior to pick-up. For availability on our pups, check the web site frequently, e-mail or please call.

Nanuq (Nanook- Eskimo for polar bear) Is our AKC registered male working in the field with the does and their kids. Most often you will find the kids climbing, jumping and sleeping with Nanuq. This takes a special temperament to avoid the kids ears from being playfully chewed on by some LGD’s. Nanuq has filled the bill wonderfully from his arrival. Not only is he very calm, but anyone that makes one of the kids cry out for some reason will find, he is very protective of them
